ZIP  ID !

Since it would replace the Social Security Number it would get the Federal government out of the identification arena-where it doesn't belong.

It would eliminate redundant databases Nationwide while requiring a zip id for any services-education, state social security, and local not Federal welfare.

Only the local and state police would have all your records-which they have!

Require ALL residents to present their citizenship and residence status at the time they get their NEW driver's license-thus eliminating the ACLU's game with Arizona's so called discriminatory border law.

Gives the  LOCAL government charge of raising a county militia under the local direction of Commissioners and Sheriff to meet any selective service needs of our state military allocation and LOCAL civil defense preparedness.

Lets the state, in coordination with local governments, decide any national wars with our Senators and Representatives in direct contact with county wide representatives, Commissioners, Sheriffs and We the People by zip id vote.

Eliminates the need for a national census since the information would already be available without having to hire temp Federal employees to encroach upon our privacy every ten years.

Facilitates local education bond elections by excluding seniors over 65 from paying for new school appropriations-zip id would  easily exclude them from the vote.

A zip id in tandem with an ip address could collect Internet sales taxes thereby leveling the playing field for local businesses vs out of state purchases while at the same time  requiring zip id  location and encryption to  determine immediately if any identity theft is present.

The annual zip id form would replace the Federal/State income tax forms and the ancient ten year census simplifying, consolidating and reducing paper work everywhere!

Further consolidation of GIS information could be included to facilitate emergency response to fires, medical alerts and theft.

Gis info could also be consolidated with all land records eliminating all duplication of data  under a single zip id database.

Using super computer capability, a zip id approach along with divide and conquer would better facilitate backups, data entry and cloud based computing.

With the elimination of preparing income tax for individuals, a huge number of tax preparers would be freed up to actually do something more productive like taking over jobs we're outsourcing to India and taking over some of the clerical jobs formerly handled by the IRS and Social Security at the State Level.

The above would require more education providing a need for local extensions like USU to fulfill this responsibility.

 And last but not least, eliminate the  huge cost of administering elections since a zip id and location encryption could be used for elections and polling right from your home.  If bank, credit card and personal identity information use the Internet highway-then why not voting?
